High Protein Tuna Smash Toast
If you’ve been on a journey of trying to love beans, this toasted sandwich is one you’ll have to try.
Not only is it packed with protein and fiber, it’s full of the omega-3s (both ALA and EPA/DHA) that help with brain health and metabolic health. Servings: 1 Protein: 42g Fiber: 13
Now, some of the protein and fiber comes from the bread—because bread is grain and grain is protein + fiber! I prefer using this specific one from Aldi called Simply Nature Seedtastic Bread. I’ve found it tastes the best while also giving a whopping 5g of protein and 3g of fiber per slice.
There are a few variations you can test—-I love adding dill and pickled veggies on this, and sometimes I’ll also add some lettuce if I have it in my fridge. I prefer eating them as open-faced sandwiches, but stacking them on top of each other might be a bit less messy.
However you enjoy this, know it’s doing good things for your body.
Cheers!
